Animal Cuts Fat Burner FAQ

  • One Container: 42 servings
  • Serving Size: 1 Pack

Whenever we review supplements, one thing that we always nitpick is the number of ingredients in a formula.

Because the number of ingredients will determine whether the total dosage per serving will suffice for the number of ingredients. Like, you wouldn’t want to put 10 fat burners with a serving dose of 500 mg, because that means 10 ingredients will fight for the small serving size given, resulting in under-dosing or a poorly dosed formula.

The number of ingredients also determines the potency and overall synergy of the formula. Indeed, you can have too many ingredients and the higher you go, the more potential there is for side effects and unwanted ingredient interactions.

Despite the trend of formulation going towards a slimmer, more focused approach, we have here perhaps a really wild outlier in Animal Cuts Fat Burner. This is because this fat burner has 40 ingredients.

Yes, that wasn’t a typo. Animal Cuts Fat Burner has 40 total ingredients and a total serving size of 8.5 grams.

Basically, Animal Cuts Fat Burner is a fat burner with the typical serving size of a standard pre workout, and with enough ingredients to build four different supplements.

Can this complex fat burner actually do well when it comes weight loss? Is Animal Cuts Fat Burner too big to fail? Read our full review to find out.

Who Makes It?

Animal Cuts Fat Burner is sold by Universal Nutrition. This company is available in over 90 countries and has been in the supplement game for over forty years. They have three separate “branches,” and Animal Cuts Fat Burner is produced under the Animal branch.

Marketing Claims Made

The following claims were made about Animal Cuts Fat Burner:

  • All-in-One Fat Burning Complex: It definitely tries to be a complete fat burner, and this is commendable. However, we do have some reservations around using this many ingredients.
  • Convenient Grab-and-Go Packs: What makes Animal Cuts Fat Burner different is how they neatly arranged each serving (8 capsules per), so you wouldn’t have to force your throat to swallow giant version with all of the ingredients inside. However, it large number of caps you’re downing.
  • Potent Thermogenic Fat-Burning Agent: Potency isn’t just about the numbers or the dosage; it’s about the quality of the ingredient itself. The ingredients we see are mostly generic, so we can’t agree with this.
  • Extreme Metabolic Enhancer: Same with the third reason. The only thing extreme here is the number of ingredients.

What’s in it?

Now, let’s take a closer look at what’s inside Animal Cuts Fat Burner. To make this review more visually appealing, because who likes to read walls of text?) we’ll switch to reviewing the formula per blend.

In one serving, you will get:

Stimulant Complex

This stimulant complex is composed of Caffeine Anhydrous, Kola Nut, Guarana, Yerba Mate, Raspberry Ketones, Coleus Forskohlii, and Evodiamine.

The stimulant complex starts off with caffeine, and it’s no surprise. Caffeine is after all one of the best at what it does for your energy and perceived focus. The problem is, high dosages are habit forming (meaning you will likely need to use higher doses if you use caffeine frequently to get the same effect), and the side effects associated with high caffeine intake in general such as jitters, headaches, stomach pains, and the crash. [1]

To mitigate this, Animal Cuts Fat Burner also included a lot of “quasi” caffeine sources such as Kola Nut, Guarana, and Yerba Mate. These alternative energy sources should help prolong the stimulatory effect of caffeine as well as reduce the effects of the crash.

Metabolic Complex

This metabolic complex is composed of Green Tea Extract (polyphenols/EGCG), Oolong Tea Extract (polyphenols), Black Tea Extract (polyphenols), Coffee Bean Extract (polyphenols), and White Tea Extract (polyphenols)

This is one of Animal Cuts Fat Burner’s main fat burning blends, as it’s quite literally the blend that supposedly boosts metabolic rate or energy expenditure (aka the actual fat burning effect). Green tea is one of the best in the business due to its EGCG content, while the rest of ingredients in the blend are more of accessories to what Green tea alone can already do. [2]

Are these other ingredients redundant? Given that the rest of the ingredients pretty much do the same thing, we say yes.

Thyroid Complex

This thyroid complex is composed of L-Tyrosine, Olive Leaf Extract, and Salvia Officinalis (leaf)

Just as the name implies, this complex is focused on making your  thyroid produce more fat burning hormones. Tyrosine, in particular, is more of a nootropic first, but some studies do suggest a correlation between poor thyroid health and low tyrosine levels. [3]

Water Shedding Complex

This water shedding complex is composed of Dandelion Root (taraxol, taraxerol), Uva Ursi Leaf (arbutin, methyl-arbutin), Hydrangea Root, Buchu Leaf, Juniper Berry Fruit, and Celery Seed

Not sugarcoating this blend: This is your “I need to go pee real quick” blend. The bulk of our perceived weight is mostly water, so removing most of the water should result in better numbers when we step on the scale. [4]

However, water weight is easily rebounded, and it’s why we don’t really like any form of diuretic blend in a fat burner.

Nootropic Complex

This nootropic complex is composed of DMAE (dimethylaminoethanol), Bacopa Monniera (bacopasides A & B) (leaf), and Huperzine A

DMAE, Bacopa, and Huperzine are all topnotch nootropics capable of improving workout focus, boosting mood, and reducing stress, especially the stress of dieting. [5]

Cortisol Inhibiting Complex

This cortisol inhibiting complex is composed of Ashwagandha Root Extract (withanolides), Eleutherococcus Senticosus (root), Phosphatidylserine, and Magnolia Bark Extract

Notable stress busters ashwagandha and phosphatidylserine make an appearance.

Fast facts: Cortisol, also known as the stress hormone, is what we call the antithesis to testosterone, the “male” hormone. When you have too much cortisol in your system, that can mean you may have lower levels of testosterone. Testosterone is responsible for muscle growth and fat loss from a weight loss viewpoint, and cortisol levels have been cited to be elevated in people who are obese. [6]

Put two and two together and you understand the reason behind adding a cortisol inhibiting blend.

CCK Boosting Complex

This CCK boosting complex is composed of Cha-De-Bugre (aerial parts), Apple Pectin (fruit), and Cinnamon (bark)

This blend is aiming at cholecystokinin, a peptide produced by our pancreas to help manage appetite. In short: This CCK blend is basically a an appetite control blend. [7]

We’re not so stoked on Cha De Bugre due to lack of evidence, but Cinnamon as well as Apple Pectine have shown some notable weight control results in some studies.

Bioavailability Complex

This bioavailability complex is composed of Ginger Root (gingerols, shogaols), Cayenne (fruit), Grapefruit (6,7-Dihydroxybergamottin) (peel), Quercetin, Naringin (citrus), and Piper Nigrum Extract (fruit)

This is the blends “absorption booster,” though they did add a lot of spicy fat burners here like cayenne and ginger.

For the absorption boost, they added a lot of things, but the only you really need is Piper Nigrum aka Black Pepper. However, it would have been so much better if we have pure piperine as this extract has been shown to improve bioavailability by as much as 10x. [8]

Supplement Facts Label

Animal Cuts Fat Burner

Some of the benefits you may expect from taking Animal Cuts Fat Burner include:

  • Weight Loss Support: It’s no secret that a fat burner can do this, but Animal Cuts actually contains more than enough ingredients to warrant a weight loss aid claim when combined with proper diet and nutrition.
  • Energy boost: Stimulants and fat burners just go well together, and we have 750 mg of energy per serving. We don’t know the caffeine dosage, so we’re just going to assume that we have more than plenty for a good workout.
  • Antioxidant Support: Tea blends are both fat burners and antioxidant ingredients.
  • Mood boost: Nootropics and stress busters combine for a mental edge on both diet and lifting.

The most probable side effects of using Animal Cuts Fat Burner would be the unknown, yet assumed high dose of caffeine and stimulants. This is why we don’t like prop blends, but especially when it comes to stimulants. Not knowing how much caffeine we get per serving can scare some users.

Another thing we like to note is the presence of diuretics. The entire fat burning blend could have gone without this unneeded pee-complex.

Then of course, we have to address the elephant in the room: There are just too many ingredients here all getting mixed inside your body. Like, 10 grams of protein ain’t the same as 10 grams of 20+ different ingredients!

We can only hope that those brave enough to use Animal Cuts don’t get awful stomach pains or whatever side effects it could do.

We always recommend you speak with your doctor before taking any supplements featured on this site.

Animal Cuts Fat Burner is in capsule form, so there’s no reason to have it taste anything more than what typical capsules taste like.

Number of Servings

One bottle has 42 servings. One serving is 1 Pack.

Top Alternative to This Product

Unfortunately (or fortunately), we’ve yet to see any brand emulate the same type of complicated formulation the way Animal Cuts did, and rightfully so. There are just a lot of things to consider when you formulate with 40 ingredients, not including the other ingredients section that might as well be another blend.

Customer Feedback

We looked at Amazon reviews on Animal Cuts Fat Burner and found that they rate the product a not bad 4.3/5.

Some users found it working as intended with energy, appetite management, and an immediate effect for weight loss – which we assume to be due to the presence of diuretics.

Critics say the overall energy was underwhelming, experiencing unwanted side effects on taste, some instances of facial swelling, and a few cases of heartburns.

Bottom Line

Animal Cuts Fat Burner is the type of fat burner that you will only choose once you’re well acquainted with other brands and are looking for something new and more advanced.

While the formula certainly seems advanced as well as complete, and we don’t doubt that it can help with energy, weight loss support combined with proper nutrition and exercise, and focus, we can’t really say that it’s a formula we would recommend if only because of the number of ingredients used.

Still, we can’t really say this is a bad product. So, if you know what you’re getting into, then maybe Animal Cuts Fat Burner is the right product for you.
