After 12 weeks of prolonged use, you are recommended to discontinue use for at least four weeks.
Always make sure you consume plenty of water around your workouts; this will help to prevent cramps and dehydration while also enhancing your performance and improving both the absorption and efficacy of the ingredients in this supplement.
What are the Benefits?
The most immediate and obvious benefit of BSN Amino X is that it contains BCAA.
Of these three amino acids are integral to the stimulation of muscle protein synthesis, which essentially means that they help to switch on the muscle-building machinery in your body.
Not only does this help to assist in the growth and recovery of your muscles but it also reduces the wasting effects of the breakdown of muscle tissue that occurs during heavy and intense weightlifting sessions.
Another excellent ingredient in this amino acid supplement is L-Alanine.
You have probably heard of beta-alanine before, and this amino acid helps to reduce acidity within your muscles, preventing the accumulation of lactic acid and flushing out metabolic waste products that can quickly build up during exercise.
Aside from the general health benefits of reducing acidity in your body, L-Alanine promotes greater muscular endurance and allows you to crank out extra reps during your sets due to more rapid removal of lactate and other metabolites.
L-Citrulline, as we mentioned above, acts as a precursor to nitric oxide production.
This helps to stimulate your circulatory system while also keeping your body any positive nitrogen balance. This is essential for muscle retention and for keeping your body in an anabolic state in general.
It is also worth mentioning that L-Citrulline promotes greater cell volumization by delivering a greater quantity of nutrients into your muscles. This helps to trigger hypertrophic signaling due to swelling of your muscle cells and greater overall damage or muscle microtrauma occurring during training.
Finally, BSN Amino X contains the Efforsorb EnDura Composite blend of electrolytes.
This electrolyte blend helps to further reduce acidity in the body while also aiding in fluid retention in the muscle cells. This helps to offset fatigue and prevent dehydration and cramping.

BSN Amino X definitely appears to be a relatively high-quality amino acid supplement will stop
It is a little disappointing to see that it exclusively uses proprietary blends because this makes it almost impossible to determine exactly how much of each ingredient you are receiving per serving.
It is important to note that the effective dose of the BCAA L-Leucine is generally recognized as being around 3.5 g. The use of a proprietary blend means that we cannot say for sure whether this threshold dose is actually delivered in each scoop of BSN Amino X.
Having said that, this is still a decent BCAA supplement, and the addition of L-Alanine and L-Citrulline makes this a performance-enhancing supplement as well as a basic recovery product.
As much as we would like to see BSN Amino X offered in a convenient capsule format, it really isn’t very difficult to mix up the powder with some water in your shaker.
If you do have a spare shaker to hand then it is worth keeping your scoop of BSN Amino X in there so that you can throw some watering and drink it down before heading out of the gym.
This is a particularly good strategy if you work in a busy office environment and don’t want to be mixing pre-workout formula is on your desk before leaving at the end of the day.
Taste / Composition / Mixability
My go-to flavor with this kind of supplement is almost always watermelon, but I’ve been pleasantly surprised by just how good the Green Apple flavor is.
Green Apple is definitely my favorite flavor of BSN Amino X so be sure to give it a try if this is your first time using this supplement.
One thing that really makes this supplement stand out is that the amino acids in the formula have been instantized. This makes BSN Amino X incredibly easy to mix without an unpleasant powder floating at the top; this is something that commonly occurs with BCAA supplements.
After shaking up the formula you should be left with a relatively clear liquid that tastes awesome and is very gentle on the stomach.
Is it Worth the Money?
If you are predominantly looking to use this supplement for its BCAA content then you might be able to save a few bucks by opting for a more standard bulk BCAA powder.
There are tons of bulk BCAA supplements on the market that will probably work out a little cheaper for you, but if you do have the budget for it then it is well worth investing in a supplement like BSN Amino X like offers a little extra.
With so many different pre-workout and amino acid supplements on the market, it can be a pretty difficult task trying to determine which one is going to offer you the best value for money. Our advice would be to compare BSN Amino X with some of the other products we have reviewed so that you can be sure it is the right choice for you.
If you’re not fond of proprietary blends then this recommendation definitely applies, but we really can’t fault BSN Amino X because it has received a lot of positive feedback from users and appears to be a pretty effective supplement overall.
BSN Amino X isn’t particularly clear in terms of how much of each ingredient is included but the praise it has received from bodybuilders should say a lot.
This is definitely not the most expensive amino acid supplement in the world and it mixes into a delicious and light drink that is perfect for easy digestion before, during, and even after workouts.
With this said, BSN Amino X is a relatively decent amino acid supplement that should provide your body with what it needs to recover more efficiently from workouts while also performing at a higher level thanks to the additional benefits offered by Citrulline and Alanine.
