EVL Nutrition RE-BLD Overview
If you’re looking for an all-in-one supplement that you can take after your workouts to facilitate recovery then you might want to check out EVL Nutrition RE-BLD.
Containing BCAA, creatine, and glutamine, this formulation provides many of the fundamental bodybuilding supplements that have become so popular in recent years, giving you the peace of mind that you’re covering all of your bases in a convenient and relatively cost-effective manner.
BCAA plays a pivotal role in stimulating muscle protein synthesis, which is crucial in helping your body to utilize the protein you eat and offset any muscle catabolism or breakdown that may occur as a result of your intense training sessions.
What’s in EVL Nutrition RE-BLD?
EVL Nutrition RE-BLD contains the following active ingredients:
- Magnesium Creatine Chelate (providing 80mg Magnesium)
- Creatine Monohydrate
- RE-BLD BCAA Fusion Proprietary Blend; containing:
- L-Valine; and
- Russian Tarragon
How and When Do I Take It?
As per the manufacturer’s recommendations, you are to mix one scoop of RE-BLD into 12 – 14oz of cold water and take it immediately post-workout.
To enhance your recovery from training you might also like to occasionally use an additional serving on your non-training days to ensure you are providing your body with an ample supply of creatine and amino acids.
What are the Benefits?
Creatine is a bodybuilding supplement that all of us are familiar with, and as one of the most proven and well-researched supplements on the market, it really ought to be a staple for you if it isn’t already.
Adenosine triphosphate or ATP is what the cells of our body use to produce and exchange energy between one another, and creatine helps to increase our cell ATP levels, in turn aiding in the production of forceful muscle contractions.
Taking your creatine in the form of Magnesium Creatine Chelate also provides the added benefit of supplying you with magnesium, which is an essential mineral for the central nervous system and also helps to boost strength levels and mental focus when you hit the gym.
Branched-chain amino acids or BCAA are what our bodies need to initiate protein synthesis to begin repairing our muscle tissues and building new ones, and L-Leucine is the most important factor in this process.
Are There Any Precautions?
Ensure that you speak to your doctor or physician prior to using EVL Nutrition RE-BLD if you suffer from any pre-existing medical conditions or if you are taking any medications.
It is also recommended that women who are pregnant or breastfeeding abstain from using this product.
Ensure you are drinking plenty of water when using any kind of creatine product in order to ensure optimal absorption and to prevent muscle cramps or digestive issues.
Available Flavors and Serving Sizes
EVL Nutrition RE-BLD is available in the following flavors:
- Blue Raz
What’s more, it is only available in packets containing 30 servings.
EVL Nutrition RE-BLD is definitely a quality product, and you can see that a lot of thought has been put into its formulation in the sense that there aren’t really any unnecessary or gimmicky ingredients that you might find in similar brands.
I personally think that the Russian Tarragon is an unnecessary ingredient; it is purported to enhance creatine absorption but you can just as easily achieve this by ensuring you are adequately hydrated with plenty of sodium in your system.
I am also a little skeptical about the BCAA content.
As opposed to listing the individual quantities of each BCAA or the ratio of each one as most manufacturers do, this product includes RE-BLD BCAA Fusion Proprietary Blend totaling 2,010mg.
The problem with this is that you have no idea how much of each BCAA you are receiving, and this is especially an issue given that 3g is the approximate dosage of L-Leucine agreed upon as being required to stimulate protein synthesis.
The fact that this entire ‘proprietary blend’ only comes out to just over two grams raises some questions regarding its efficacy so this wouldn’t be a product that I would personally use.
Without running long-term controlled tests it would be difficult to really ascertain the efficacy of this supplement compared to similar products on the market, but I am not impressed by the use of a BCAA proprietary blend, especially seeing as I would consider BCAA to be the ‘money’ ingredient.
You’ll find three grams of creatine monohydrate and three grams of L-glutamine, but these are relatively cheap supplements to buy in bulk anyway, especially creatine monohydrate, so I would personally want to see a couple of extra grams of creatine added for good measure.
The taste department is where this product really shines, especially the watermelon flavor.
I always jump on watermelon-flavored supplements because it seems to be such an easy taste to emulate that most manufacturers make it taste awesome.
EVL Nutrition RE-BLD is no exception, and although Blue Raz doesn’t taste bad by any stretch of the imagination I would still recommend the watermelon flavor as being my go-to variety.
Is it Worth the Money?
In my humble opinion, EVL Nutrition RE-BLD isn’t worth the money at the moment.
I do think that pre- and post-workout supplements make a great option for those of you who are looking for a convenient way of getting the ingredients in, but I still would advise that you look at some other supplements for a better alternative.
I understand that EVL Nutrition RE-BLD contains Russian Tarragon as a means of enhancing the absorption of the ingredients but I remain unconvinced considering how many other supplements are available in the dosages that have been established as optimal.
If you’re going to be investing your money into supplements to assist your training efforts then I would recommend taking a little extra time to ensure that your money is going on the right products so that you can actually get the most out of each workout.
