Six Star Creatine X3 FAQ

  • One Container: 35 servings
  • Serving Size: 1 Scoop (35 grams)

When you talk about bodybuilding, you always hear about creatine, and rightly so. Creatine has been cited to be one of the most versatile muscle-building supplement in the history of getting buff.

Creatine can boost muscle growth, improve performance, increase energy, and even jump start muscle recovery right after working out.

Six Star had the same mindset about this ergogenic, and so they doubled down and made their signature Six Star Creatine X3 with not one, but two forms of creatine plus another blend to help stir in the synergy – hence the X3 in the name.

Six Star Creatine X3 is claimed to be a product that is perfect improved muscle performance, better post-workout recovery, and more strength.

Who Makes It?

Six Star Creatine X3 is produced by Six Star. Six Star sells a lot of supplements, ranging from protein and pre workouts to testosterone boosters and BCAAs.

Six Star is known to sell affordable alternatives to premium products. If you see a $50 can of powder, Six Star probably has a $30 version of it.

Marketing Claims Made

The following claims were made about Six Star Creatine X3:

  • Builds muscle and strength
  • Muscle performance
  • Accelerates workout recovery

What’s in it?

Now, let’s take a closer look at what’s inside Six Star Creatine X3:

In one 33 gram scoop, you will get:

  • Carbs: Having a surplus of glycogen means your muscles can perform longer and better under pressure and tremendous stress. [1]

Muscle Building Creatine Blend

  • Creatine Monohydrate: This is top dog when it comes to creatine forms. Of all the forms, monohydrate has the most number of studies done on it, and almost all of them cite the ingredient for its muscle building and performance enhancing effects. [2]
  • Creatine HCl: This form of creatine was developed to help reduce the bloating side effect associated with creatine monohydrate. As HCl, it’s supposed to be readily “absorbed” by the body, as it mimics the same chemical composition of stomach acid. [3]

BCAA Amino Blend

  • Taurine: Taurine is found in a lot of energy drinks as well as pre workout because it does quite a lot of things when ingested. Among them are muscle hydration, pumps, and a decent  boost in energy. [4]
  • Leucine, Isoleucine, Valine: These are your Branched Chain Amino Acids or BCAAs. BCAAs are considered one of the best pre workout ingredients as they directly influence how efficient your body is at muscle repair and even performance. [5]

Creatine Synthesis Amino Matrix

  • Glycine: A non-essential amino acid and a pre cursor to proteins like collagen. In a pre workout formula, glycine works by supporting muscle growth and recovery. However, we do get glycine from eating regular food, so supplementing with glycine may not actually be important. [6]
  • Arginine: This is the most generic form for pump boosting. Arginine is a compound used by the body to pump muscles with nitric oxide, but it’s poorly absorbed. They should have went with Citrulline at the very least, a compound that helps the body naturally produce arginine which is directly used for nitric oxide and bypasses digestion. [7]
  • Methionine: Methionine is a key component in creatine production, which is great as it synergizes with the formula. The problem is we don’t know the dosage, and it’s looking to be a bit too small given where it’s placed in the formula. [8]

All in all, we think Six Star Creatine X3 is a decent muscle building and recovery formula that deeply synergizes its ingredients.

The problem is, the proprietary blend deprives us of the dosages for each ingredient and we can’t properly assess just how potent the formula is without those numbers.

Six Star Creatine X3 Supplement Facts Label

Six Star Creatine X3

Six Star Creatine X3’s formula is actually impressive for an affordable alternative to premium creatine powders. Based on what we’ve seen and estimated, we think Six Star Creatine X3 can give you:

  • Increased recovery support: The dosages used for their creatine blend is decent enough to at least help you get back in the gym faster.
  • Good muscle growth support: We say good because the BCAA blend could have been better, but it’s actually not that bad for a low-cost creatine brand.
  • Muscle hydration support: Having you muscles refueled and hydrated mid-training allows you to workout better and longer. This can lead to an increase in performance and training duration.

The most probable side effects of using Six Star Creatine X3 would be from the creatine blend.

Creatine is a great ingredient for muscle growth and performance, but it’s quite notorious for being difficult to swallow and making people feel bloated. This is where that joke about gym buffs puking white powder or their protein shakes mid squat or benchpress comes from.

Apart from the bloating, we don’t really think there’s more to the negative affects you can get from taking Six Star Creatine X3. They didn’t add stimulants of any kind or any fat burners at all.

We always recommend you speak with your doctor before taking any supplements featured on this site.

On their website, we only see one flavor and that’s fruit punch. This can definitely be a major setback for future buyers as a lack of variety in flavor means they’ll have to stomach the taste no matter what even if they don’t like it. In this regard, it would have been better to go unflavored.

Top Alternative to This Product

Six Star Creatine X3 vs MuscleTech Cell Tech

We think the best rival to Six Star Creatine X3 is the often expensive MuscleTech. Yes, we think a company notorious for producing expensive brands has a product that can fit the shoes low-cost Six Star Creatine X3 wears.

Here are the following ingredients to MuscleTech Cell Tech:

  • Carbs
  • Creatine Monohydrate
  • Taurine
  • L-Alanine
  • Leucine
  • Valine
  • Isoleucine
  • Alpha Lipoic Acid
  • Dipotassium Phosphate

If you noticed, both brands carry almost the same ingredients. You wouldn’t be at fault to think that maybe Six Star Creatine X3 copied from MuscleTech Cell Tech.

Despite the similarities, the difference is quite glaring. MuscleTech Cell Tech has almost twice the serving size and shows us its dosages. This is a big deal to the untrained eye, but we still think Six Star Creatine X3 is a bit better despite the wide gap in serving size.

Why? Because the total creatine and BCAA per serving of MuscleTech Cell Tech is much lower than Six Star Creatine X3’s. To match what Six Star Creatine X3 can do for both ingredients, you’d have to at least take two scoops – by which MuscleTech Cell Tech will then become twice as expensive.

Then there’s also the fact that MuscleTech Cell Tech is almost double the price of Six Star Creatine X3. If all you’re after is creatine and maybe BCAAs, you get more value out of the lower cost Six Star Creatine X3.

Customer Feedback

We looked at Amazon reviews on Six Star Creatine X3 and found that they rate the product a really good 4.5/5. In the context of a cheap formula, this is actually pretty high.

Customers love it for helping people get rid of their muscle soreness, which can be due to how creatine improves muscle recovery. Others like how it did increase their mass as well as how well it works together with their muscle-building diet.

Some of the critics pan it for the use of artificial ingredients, especially colorants and dyes. They say it’s quite red, and people are a bit wary with colorants like Red 40, which has been cited for some negative effects to health.

Outside of colors, some criticize it for being too sweet and making them feel bloated.

Bottom Line

Six Star Creatine X3 is a low cost alternative to many premium creatine blends. It doesn’t have that much in terms of complexity, but what it lacks in formulation, it makes up with dosages and synergy.

Like many low cost alternatives, Six Star Creatine X3 has a lot of holes to fill. Still, for the price and formula, we think Six Star Creatine X3 is a great brand to try.
